Petition to Become an ACHS Member Society
Does your Honor Society fulfill the requirements?
Before petitioning to become an ACHS member society, consider the Honor Society Standards of Excellence and eligibility requirements by downloading and reviewing this Information for Petitioning Societies (pdf). To review the ACHS Bylaws in their entirety, cllck here.
A petitioning society will then:
-
Compare its constitution with the ACHS standards and eligibility criteria by downloading and completing the Petitioning Society’s Self-Assessment Form. ACHS will gladly set up a conversation to discuss any potentially necessary changes.
-
Discuss the above comparison with its own Executive Director and/or Board President, and make changes necessary to meet all of the standards and criteria.
-
Optional, but advisable: Participate as an observer at an ACHS Annual Council Meeting that typically takes place in early spring during our annual conference.
-
Download and complete the Petition for Membership Form to send with all accompanying materials and $500 petition fee to the ACHS Executive Director.
